This fiery pasta is made with real chilis to bring the heat to any pasta dish. Inspired by nature, Lumache derives its name from the Italian word “lumaca,” meaning snail, due to its resemblance to a snail’s shell. Lumache is closely associated with southern and central Italy, where it became popular for its versatility in holding thick, chunky sauces with its ridged exterior and spiral-like curves that ensure every bite is packed with flavor. We’ve added Calabrian chili peppers that were grown and harvested in Calabria, Italy for a smoky, spicy depth of intensity that complements rather than overpowering other flavors in your dish. Our spicy chili infused Lumache is made with organic semolina flour milled from durum wheat. A staple of traditional Italian pasta, semolina helps it also hold its shape well and gives each piece a wonderful al dente bite.
